Pricing Policy

This Pricing Policy explains, in plain terms, how WA.cr charges you — what a plan costs, what happens when you change plans, how renewals and retries work, and how we protect the price you signed up at. It sits alongside our Terms of Service and Refunds & Cancellation policy.

1. What you pay for

  • Plan rental (subscription). A fixed recurring fee for your plan, billed in advance each period — monthly or annually — in Indian Rupees (₹) or US Dollars (US$).
  • Conversation charges (consumption). WhatsApp message charges set by Meta, with our published markup, drawn from your prepaid wallet as you send. You only pay for what you actually send.
  • Indian customers are charged 18% GST on top of taxable amounts; exports of service are zero-rated. Tax invoices are issued for every taxable charge.

2. Changing your plan

You can change plans at any time from your billing settings. What happens depends on the direction of the change.

Upgrades — take effect immediately, charged pro-rata

  • Moving to a higher-priced plan takes effect now.
  • You are charged only the difference in price for the days remaining in your current period — not a fresh full charge. GST is added on top for Indian customers.
  • Your new plan's features switch on the moment that prorated payment is confirmed. From your next renewal onward you are billed the full new plan price.

Downgrades & cadence changes — scheduled at renewal

  • Moving to a lower-priced plan, or switching between monthly and annual billing, is scheduled for your next renewal.
  • You keep your current plan, in full, until the period you have already paid for ends. Then the new plan begins and renews at the lower price.
  • There is no charge and no credit or refund for a downgrade — you simply keep what you have already paid for until it runs out. We do not issue pro-rata credits.

3. Renewals, payment retries & auto-cancellation

  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period using your saved payment method, until you cancel.
  • If a renewal payment fails, your plan is not cancelled immediately. The payment gateway automatically retries the charge over several days (its standard dunning schedule). Your plan stays active during this retry window.
  • Your subscription is auto-cancelled only after those retries are exhausted — i.e. once the gateway has tried and failed the agreed number of times. At that point the plan lapses and you are notified.
  • You can update your payment method at any time during the retry window to keep your plan active. A wallet running low does not cancel your plan — only repeated subscription-payment failures do.

4. Grandfathering — your price is protected

  • The plan price you subscribe at is locked for as long as you stay on that plan. If we later raise that plan's list price, your recurring fee does not change — you keep your original rate.
  • Grandfathering ends only if you change it — an upgrade or downgrade re-prices you to the plan you move to, at its current price (which then becomes your new locked rate). Cancelling and re-subscribing later is priced at the then-current rates.
  • Conversation (message) rates are set by Meta and passed through with our markup; these are not grandfathered and update with Meta's rate cards. Rate changes are reflected in your console and applied only from their effective date.

5. Wallet & consumption

  • The prepaid wallet is an advance deposit. Top-ups are credited at face value; GST attaches at consumption (per message), not at top-up.
  • You may set auto-recharge to top up automatically when your balance is low, within the minimum and maximum limits shown in your console. Auto-recharge uses a separate saved mandate from your subscription.
  • Wallet balances are non-refundable but remain yours to spend on messaging.

6. Currencies & taxes

  • Your business is billed in a single currency (₹ or US$). Once your wallet holds a balance, the billing currency is fixed.
  • Indian supplies carry 18% GST (CGST+SGST or IGST by place of supply). Exports of service are zero-rated under LUT. Compliant tax invoices and receipts are available in your console.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our pricing evolves. Material changes are announced in advance, and your grandfathered plan price is always protected as described above. Questions? Write to us at admin@kdc.in.
